Historic, orthodox Christianity is not anti-European; on the contrary, only in Christendom was a European identity per se forged in the first place, and the Russian Orthodox Church in particular continues to affirm ethnic loyalty as a Christian duty. Many, many modern Christians (and sometimes entire churches) have embraced anti-European ideas, but so have the vast majority of individuals and institutions in Europe and America. This problem is not inherent to Christianity, nor is it unique to Christians and Christian institutions. Blaming Christianity for it is thus ill-informed at best and downright dishonest at worst.
